This brings back so many memories of our own decision to become part of the CJIMS experience.

Thank you for sharing.

And I have very fond memories of knowing your family during that time!

I appreciate your story! I don’t know if my story compares, but in my 50s, I was in a fulfilling position at a public library, making the best money in my life. We were looking at an early retirement for me in the not too distant future. I had pastored full time in the past and was currently part time at a church, but came to a fork in the road where I felt God was leading me back into full time ministry. I offered myself up to that, and know I am in the center of his will, five years later. God is precious!

Sure Steve! I doubt you remember me, but a few years ago I was conducting the NMI services at a small Nazarene church near Memphis - Cypress Creek Nazarene in Marion, Arkansas. I think you and Tamara were doing a tour of the North Arkansas district and you came to the church there. I was pastoring a small United Methodist church at the same time. It only met on Sunday morning, and Carol and I were members at Marion and attended there for their evening services. Anyway, in 2017 we went to a full-time United Methodist charge here in Missouri and have been here ever since. It is a turbulent time in the United Methodist Church and the church world in general, but God is good and will lead in days ahead. I have lost track - are you here in the states for a while or for good? God bless!

I do remember that service, though it was quite some time ago....our daughter, who was quite small then, just graduated from high school last week! I have been following some of what is going on in the UMC. Prayers for you and your local congregation there.
