Supporting Local Businesses This Holiday Season
Mark your calendars for Small Business Saturday on November 25

Small local and family-owned businesses are the backbone of neighborhoods and communities across our country. November 25 is designated as Small Business Saturday, so here are some ways to encourage and support your local small businesses on that day and throughout this holiday season!
Recommend your favorite places to others — talk them up and let people know where they are and what they do.
Give positive reviews and feedback when possible — improve the online reputation of your local businesses.
Join memberships and take advantage of reward programs — help yourself by helping them.
Like, share, tag, and follow on social media — help your local business be seen!
Join email lists and newsletters — keep up-to-date on what’s going on.
Attend special events, sales, and other promotional events — a crowd invites a crowd.
Buy gift cards for yourself and others.
Pay a little more to keep local businesses in business!
Organize a Small Business Crawl — Gather some friends and plan to visit several small businesses in your local area.
Partner with a small business — if you own a business or offer a service, consider collaborating with another local company to offer a special promotion.
Finally, remember to show patience and compassion. The holiday season is a busy time for everyone, including local merchants and restaurants, many of whom continue to be understaffed.
